What is Art Therapy ?

Art Therapy is ...

is a psychotherapy (therapy) that uses the creative process to address emotional or behavioural issues. You don't have to be 'good' at drawing to benefit, the art materials are uses to express emotions, process thoughts and gain new understanding and as another form of communicating alongside art making to support the healing process.

Art Therapy can include both art making and talking in sessions and sometimes just talking or art making the client gets to choose what benefits them most. Normally a session lasts 50minutes

 Art Materials can include, collage, paints, pencils, clay, crafts, slime and are bespoke to the individuals needs and interests.
